Three Dutch Grand Prix winners on the line at the Dutch MX Season Opener in Lierop

The Netherlands is strongly represented in the Women's World Championship. Nancy van de Ven was the only one to win a world title in 2022 so far, but we also have three ladies competing for the podium places.

Lotte van Drunen managed to win the Dutch Grand Prix in 2023 during her first full season in the world championship. In addition, she also won heats in Sardinia and Switzerland and finished in third place in the final standings. This winter she made the switch from Kawasaki to Yamaha and will be chasing success within the De Baets MX team.

Lynn Valk won her first Grand Prix in Portugal in 2022 and fought with Nancy van de Ven for the world title that year. She ended up second and had a very strong season. Last year she finished in fourth place in the final standings with three podium finishes. Her highlight was undoubtedly her victory in the very last moto of the season in Turkey, which certainly showed what she is capable of.

Shana van der Vlist won her first Grand Prix in Lommel in 2021 and added a second in Sardinia in 2022. After a strong fourth place in the final standings of 2022, 2023 was supposed to be her season, but unfortunately a serious ankle injury played tricks on her for a long time. During the Arnhem Grand Prix she came back and managed to finish sixth and fifth, and she was also in the top five during the final race in Turkey. With a good winter, she can show beautiful things again in 2024.

These three fast Dutch ladies will be on the line at the Dutch MX Season Opener in Lierop on Sunday the 3rd of March. Just like last year, they will compete in the 125 class and can make it difficult for many fast boys. In addition to these three ladies, the other regular participants in the world championship can also compete in this class.
