World Championship Leader Romain Febvre to Race in Heerde (July 6)

On Sunday, July 6, the Dutch Mid Season Race will take place on the sandy circuit of Heerde. Many big names in motocross will line up that day — and take the time to meet their fans.

One of the confirmed riders is Romain Febvre of the Kawasaki Racing Team. Febvre claimed victory at the British Grand Prix in Matterley Basin last Sunday and currently leads the World Championship standings after twelve rounds. Earlier this year, he also won the Dutch Masters of Motocross title.

In Heerde, Febvre will face off against Dutch stars Jeffrey Herlings and Glenn Coldenhoff. Both riders are in excellent form and were battling Febvre for podium positions last weekend. Earlier this year, Herlings and Febvre treated fans to a thrilling wheel-to-wheel duel in Markelo — a scenario that could very well repeat itself in Heerde.

In the MX2 class, top Dutch riders will also be in action, led by reigning World Champion Kay de Wolf. He’ll be joined by Cas Valk, Gyan Doensen, Scott Smulders, among others.
