Jeremy Seewer Runs Inside the Top Five in the Czech MXGP

The Van Venrooy KTM Racing Team continued to make progress during the MXGP of the Czech Republic in Loket. Despite a weekend that included its fair share of setbacks, Jeremy Seewer, Rick Elzinga and Noel Zanocz all showed encouraging pace on the technical and demanding circuit.

Jeremy Seewer enjoyed a promising start to the weekend. The Swiss rider qualified seventh in the timed practice session and finished sixth in the qualifying race, once again demonstrating his strong speed.

Seewer looked ready to build on his solid Saturday in the opening moto, but a technical issue brought his race to an early end on the opening lap. In race two, Seewer grabbed the holeshot and ran inside the top five for much of the race. However, a mistake in the closing stages cost him several positions, and he eventually crossed the finish line in twelfth place.

Rick Elzinga endured a difficult weekend as he struggled to find a comfortable feeling on the track. Nevertheless, the Dutch rider posted the fifteenth-fastest time in timed practice, with a smaller gap to the fastest rider than at many previous Grands Prix this season. He went on to finish twentieth in the qualifying race.

Sunday remained challenging for Elzinga. He suffered severe arm pump in the opening moto and finished twentieth. In the second moto, he improved to fifteenth place, although the result was still below his own expectations.

In the MX2 class, Noel Zanocz once again demonstrated his fighting spirit. After setting the twenty-fourth fastest time in timed practice and securing an impressive tenth place in the qualifying race, the Hungarian rider spent much of the opening moto running in thirteenth before eventually finishing fourteenth.

The second moto required another comeback from Zanocz after he completed the opening lap in thirty-first position. Showing strong pace throughout the race, he fought his way back to fourteenth place, earning another valuable haul of World Championship points.

Next weekend, the Van Venrooy KTM Racing Team heads to the MXGP of Belgium in Lommel, where the riders will face one of the toughest sand races of the season.
