Van Berkel And Van Den Bosse In The Points at ADAC Masters in Gaildorf

Lars van Berkel and Danny van den Bosse of the Husqvarna SKS Racing NL team both scored points at the ADAC MX Masters event in Gaildorf.  Van Berkel had one 19th place finish in the Masters class, and Van den Bosse scored a solitary point with 20th in one 85cc heat.

On Saturday I battled with my speed during qualifying, and had to go to the last chance race," Van Berkel said. "I made it through, despite stalling my bike once."
After a bad start in race one, Van Berkel came back to 24th place. The second race went better. Another unfavourable start did not deter him, and he fought back to 19th.
Danny van den Bosse improved lap after lap during qualifying, and secured the 18th gate. After a tough battle in race one following a bad start, he finished 20th for one point. He again found himself in the points in race two, but a crash dropped him to 31st, and the best he could do was recover to 23rd.
Rick Wennekes and Boyd van der Voorn were in action in the 250cc Youngster Cup class. Rick battled on the hard underground and could not secure direct qualification. A bad start in the last chance race ruined all prospects of qualifying for the event.

Boyd van der Voorn posted the 14th time in the free training session. The track dried substantially after that, and he battled more during qualifying. He too was relegated to the last chance race. Some wheelspin off the start dropped him to 25th, and though he impoved to 14th, it was not enough to ensure qualification.

The team will be in action at an international event in Mol, Belgium, this coming Thursday.
