After a year and two months layoff, Miro Sihvonen of the Husqvarna SKS Racing NL team lined up for his first race again last weekend. He was in action at the first round of the Estonian championships.

"I tried to remain composed, since it was a very competitive race, and my goal above all was to build up race rhythm," he told us, excited to be back.

In the first race, he had huge problems with armpump, and was involved in pitched battles from start to finish.

The track was very muddy in the second race, and Miro rode perhaps a bit too cautiously. As the race progressed, he picked up rhythm. He was in ninth place, but having lost his roll off, it was difficult to challenge for eighth. He posted his fastest lap in the last lap, and finished ninth, just like in the first heat.

"At this stage, results are not the most important objective. I am super happy at having experienced the race feeling again, and I am delighted to have back what I've missed over these last years. I have a positive outlook on the future, because with more riding things will only get better. '
