EICMA INTERNATIONAL MOTOCROSS ITALY SERIES - FINAL ROUND REPORT TIME

The Internazionali d’Italia MX EICMA Series 2020 ended today in Mantova under a warm sun that welcomed the 177 riders and the fantastic crowds. Tim Gajser (HRC Honda MX1), Maxime Renaux (SM Action Yamaha MX2) e Pietro Razzini (Fiamme Oro Husqvarna 125cc) are the new 2020 Champions of the Italian series!

In the Supercampione race, that gives access to the 110.000€ bonus is Mitchell Evans (HRC Honda MX1) who won the moto, the Australian, started second, made a move on his team mate Gajser during the ninth lap, passing him and pulling the gap till the finish line, crossed in front of the Slovenian rider. Second under the checkered flag Gajser preceded Tony Cairoli (KTM RedBull Factory Racing), third for the whole race. Gajser confirms its leadership in the Championship winning the title with 20 points on its team mate, while Arminas Jasikonis (Husqvarna Rockstar Energy Factory Racing) finish the series in third place.

MX1 - Great show in the first race of the year with Tim Gajser and Tony Cairoli riding alongside. At the start the two riders start in front of everyone, cornering together, with the Slovenian taking the lead and a small margin on the Sicilian who follows him with an excellent pace. In the final Gajser pull the gap on Cairoli who crosses the finish line second, while third ends a strong Ivo Monticelli (KTM Standing Construct), who comes back from the seventh place on the first lap. In the championship, victory for Gajser who precedes his teammate Evans and Arminas Jasikonis, who crashed during the race.

MX2 - Intense race in MX2, with Andrea Adamo (Yamaha SM Action Best) who surprises everyone at the start and tried to pull the gap, hunted by Caleb Grothues (Suzuki RT973 MX School) and Nicholas Lapucci (KTM Steel Dr. Jack). But it is from behind that Mattia Guadagnini (Husqvarna Maddii Racing) creates a masterpiece, reassembling after a difficult start, climbing almost 10 positions, until he takes the lead of the heat during the seventh lap, keeping it until the finish line, crossed in front of Adamo and Stephen Rubini (Honda Assomotor), who battled with his compatriot Renaux till the end, in a spectacular duel. In the championship Renaux wins in front of Guadagnini by thirty lengths, with Adamo third.

125 - Andrea Roncoli (Husqvarna) is the winner of the third round of the 125 class; the young rider wins race one and finishes third in race two, a result that gives him the overall ahead of Pietro Razzini (Husqvarna) and Rasmus Pedersen (KTM), winner of the second moto. Razzini wins the eighth-liter championship, preceding Roncoli and Pedersen in the standings, with Andrea Bonacorsi (Fantic Racing) fourth both in the championship and in the race.

The Internazionali d’Italia MX EICMA Series 2020 closed with a great success of the LIVE streaming on the web, which ended with more than 205,000 views, entering in the trend of the day for the third consecutive time.
