EICMA INTERNATIONAL MOTOCROSS ITALY SERIES - #finalround Mantova 10 febbraio

The Internazionali d’Italia MX EICMA Series 2019 ended today in Mantova. Great success also for the last of the three rounds and record of spectators for the live streaming that recorded more than 200.000 contacts live.

For the third week in a row the Internazionali d’Italia MX video reached the top of the trends of YouTube!! Tony Cairoli (KTM Red Bull Factory Racing Team) is the star of the Internazionali d’Italia EICMA Series; the nine times World Champion confirmed himself as the champion in both classes, in the MX1, where he got the better of a wild Tim Gajser (Honda HRC) and Romain Febvre (Monster Energy Yamaha Factory) and in the Supercampione, a class that he dominated, putting together three victories, winning with 240 points  on Gajser (200) and his team mate Jorge Prado (KTM Red Bull Factory Racing Team), third with 160 points riding the 250 four stroke.

In the final race of the day everything happened, with Cairoli winning the EICMA hole-shot and dominating the whole race, preceding on the finish line Max Nagl (KTM Sharoltz) and his team mate Prado, with Gajser fourth after crashing in the first lap and Febvre out from the beginning of the race, involved in a crash together with Brian Bogers (Honda HRC).

In the MX1 race it was up to the factory Honda rider to climb on the top step of the podium. The Slovenian, after passing the Swiss Aranud Tonus (Monster Energy Wilvo MXGP), winner of the EICMA hole-shot, dominated the race of the 450, keeping Febvre's attacks at bay, with the french second after the 15 laps of the race. Tony Cairoli, author of the 24MX pole position, has instead started very late, but he still came third at the finish line after a great comeback. Cairoli thus won the category title with 320 points on Romain Febvre, which in the three races scored 300 points and on Gajser, third in the final standings with 280 points.

In MX2 the young Galician and world champion of the category, Jorge Prado, which also in Mantova makes the 24MX pole position, wins, bringing to three the successes achieved in the three races disputed and that with 360 points precedes Mikkel Haruup (Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory) by 165 points and Michele Cervellin (Yamaha SM Action) by 180. In the race EICMA hole-shot for Prado, which precedes the brand mate Tom Vialle (KTM Red Bull Factory Racing Team), which however closes the moto third, behind the other French rider Brian Moreaux (Kawasaki Bud Racing), second under the checkered flag.

Florient Miot (Yamaha MJC) is the new champion of the 125 class. At the end of the six heats played during the Internazionali, the French was the most consistent, preceding with 1060 points in the final standings Andrea Bonacorsi (Celestini KTM Junior Team), who collected 930 points and the other Italian, Mirko Valsecchi (Celestini KTM Junior Team), third overall with 706 points. Today the new champion has conquered the third step of the podium, enough to consolidate the small gap with which he arrived in Mantova, preceding Valsecchi and Bonacorsi, respectively fourth and fifth of the day. To win the the third appointment was the Swiss Mike Gwerder (KTM Kini Junior Team), unreachable in both motos, the KTM driver preceded the Estonian Jorgen Matthias Talviku (Team A1M), third in the first heat and second in the second one.
