Lars van Berkel of the Husqvarna SKS Racing NL team demonstrated a rising line of performance during the Belgian championship motocross event at Orp le Grand. He achieved better results with each successive session, and topped it with sixth in the Superfinal.

On the technical Orp le Grand track, Van Berkel qualified eighth. After a troubled start in race one, he worked his way forward to cross the line seventh. Disaster struck for him in the second race whilst lying fourth. A stuck throttle caused him to crash between a rock and a tree. With bent handlebars he rode out the race to finish 13th.

Despite the second race woes, Van Berkel was tenth overall, and qualified for the Superfinal, where the best 30 bikes of the MX1 and MX2 classes  raced against each other. Despite the dusty conditions, he finished sixth, with lap times not far off the leading men.

Danny van den Bosse qualified sevond in his class. In the first race he recovered from seventh to finish second after a strong ride. In the second race, he took the early lead, but crashed on a steep hill which forced him to go down the slope before tackling it again. He rejoined the race in fifth, and quickly recovered to second, but a mistake in the last lap cost him a position. He eventually finished third overall for the day.

Boyd van der Voorn and Rick Wennekes were in action at an MON race in Meijel. Van der Voorn was untouchable, winning both races after claiming the holeshots. Wennekes had hassles in the first race when his start gate jumped up again, trapping him. He rode well to recover from 14th to fifth. In the second race, he slotted into second after a good start. In focusing on the leading rider, he left the gate open for the rider following him and finished third, which gave him fourth overall for the day.

The team will be in action at the Open Dutch Championship event at Westerbork next weekend.
